Expolanka CEO Awards 2009

The inaugural CEO Awards ceremony of Expolanka was held at the Water’s Edge on 31st July 2009. The event was graced by over 150 invitees from the Expolanka Group of  companies. The aim of the inaugural CEO Awards Ceremony was to recognize the efforts and motivate all CEO’s to achieve our vision for the group whilst creating value for all stakeholders.

The Awards were named as "Kassim & Yusoof Award" and the following companies and their dynamic CEOs took the honours at the event;

• Gold Award for Outstanding Performance - SG Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, CEO, Mrs.Niroza Gazzali
• Silver Award for Outstanding Performance - Expolanka Teas (Pvt) Ltd, CEO, Mr.Dhilshad Sideek
• Bronze Award for Outstanding Performance - Classic Travel (Pvt) Ltd, CEO, Mr.Suresh Mendis
• Award for Best Turnaround - Expolanka (Pvt) Ltd, CEO, Mr.Mohamed Annam 

Chairman Mr. Rafik Kassim addressed the gathering indicating the rationale behind the event and thanking all companies for their efforts in contributing to the group results. The event was graced by Dr. Ranjith Bandara, Senior Economist attached to the Strategic Enterprise Management Agency (SEMA) who delivered the key note address on "Post War Opportunities in Sri Lanka". The event was concluded with a networking and a fellowship session.
